Scored by Ayub Rana against our published methodology.
Crypto Fund Trader is a Spain-based, crypto-first prop firm (founded 2022) offering two-phase evaluations from $80 (5K) to $1,798 (200K) and cheaper one-phase accounts from $40, with direct Bybit integration as its standout feature. Two-phase accounts target 8% then 5% with a static 10% maximum loss and 5% daily limit; one-phase accounts use a tighter 6% overall drawdown, and the live profit split on one-phase accounts scales from 50% up to 90% by size. News trading and EAs are allowed and there are no minimum trading days on the main challenges. Note that reviewers report a 2024 FINMA warning and discretionary payout language in its terms, which warrants caution.

Pros & Cons
Crypto Fund Trader pros & cons
The strengths and trade-offs our editors weigh when scoring this firm.
What traders like
- No time limit on any evaluation: the FAQ states there is no maximum time to complete the evaluation, and every program table on the homepage shows maximum days traded as indefinite.
- No minimum trading days on the evaluations, so an account that hits its target can move to the Final Stage immediately.
- Overnight and weekend holding is allowed on every account type and instrument, and news trading is allowed on the standard 1 Phase and 2 Phase programs.
- Three execution routes are offered: Match-Trader, MetaTrader 5 and a personal Bybit sub-account connected by API with more than 550 USDT crypto futures pairs, and Match-Trader is available to US residents.
- Commissions and leverage are published per asset class in the FAQ rather than left vague, including $2.5 per lot per side on forex and 0.0325% per side on crypto.
- The contracting entity is named in the site footer and is confirmable in the Swiss federal UID register as SWISS RLCRATES AG, CHE-162.567.204, Zug.
What to watch
- The terms state that all activity is simulated, that operations performed through the service are not real and that funds carry no monetary value, and payouts are framed throughout as discretionary scholarship rewards rather than profit shares.
- The terms state that SWISS RLCRATES AG does not guarantee payment of the scholarship and may, in certain circumstances, not pay it despite the trader meeting the requirements, in which case only the program fee is refundable.
- Simulated profit is capped at $10,000 per day and per trade; above that, active trades may be closed and the excess may be deducted.
- High frequency trading, tick scalping and arbitrage strategies are prohibited, copy trading is prohibited outright on Ascend accounts and on all Final Stage accounts, and reverse or hedged positions across a user's accounts are prohibited.
- The footer states that SWISS RLCRATES AG is not authorised or licensed in Switzerland, conducts no regulated activity, and acts as payment and marketing agent for RLCRATES S.L.
- Several headline conditions are paid add-ons rather than defaults: the 90% split, weekly payout requests, a 6% daily drawdown and a 12% maximum drawdown each cost 15% to 25% of the evaluation fee, and Break accounts carry a second activation fee after passing.

Rules
Crypto Fund Trader rules, explained
The rules that actually get traders breached: what they are and how this firm sets them.
| Rule | Crypto Fund Trader | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Drawdown type | Hybrid | Trailing drawdown follows your equity peak and is the #1 cause of surprise breaches; static drawdown is fixed from starting balance and far more forgiving. |
| Consistency rule | None on the 1-Phase, 2-Phase, Ascend and Instant programs. A 40% single-day cap applies only to Break Final Stage payout requests. | Caps how much of your total profit can come from a single day. A strict cap can delay or void payouts for traders with a few big wins. |
| News trading | Allowed | Some firms void trades placed around high-impact news releases, which is critical if you trade NFP, CPI, or rate decisions. |
| Expert advisors (EAs) | Allowed | Determines whether automated strategies and copiers are permitted, and whether an EA can get your account flagged. |
| Minimum trading days | 0 days | The floor on how fast you can pass a phase, which matters if you trade infrequently or want to pass quickly. |
| Challenge time limit | No time limit | A deadline forces you to trade whether or not your setup appears. Firms with no time limit let you sit out bad conditions. |
| Weekend / overnight holding | Allowed | Swing traders need positions to survive the Friday close. Where holding is barred, open trades are closed for you and gaps cannot be traded. |
| Copy trading | Not allowed | Decides whether you can mirror one strategy across several accounts. Most firms that allow it restrict it to accounts you own yourself. |
| High-frequency trading | Not allowed | Firms police latency arbitrage and tick scalping hard, and an HFT breach is one of the most common reasons a passed account is voided. |

We publish payout-speed distributions from dated community proofs rather than trusting advertised numbers. Crypto Fund Trader's tracker goes live once we have enough verified data points.
