Pros & Cons
The5ers pros & cons
The strengths and trade-offs our editors weigh when scoring this firm.
What traders like
- Trading since 2016, one of the longest continuously operating records in the sector
- Four distinct program styles: High Stakes 2-step, Pro Growth 1-step, Hyper Growth instant funding and Bootcamp 3-step
- No time limit on any program: every published plan states unlimited trading period
- Static drawdown on every program, measured from the initial balance, with no trailing component
- First payout at 14 days from funding, then every 14 days, with a low $150 minimum
- Profit split scales from 80% to 100% on High Stakes, plus a fixed monthly payout above $350K
What to watch
- High Stakes bans order execution from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after high impact news
- The advertised Bootcamp price is an entry fee only: a second fee falls due on passing, taking the $20K plan from $22 to $72 and the $250K plan from $225 to $575
- Bootcamp funded accounts start on a 50/50 split before scaling, well below the firm's headline rate
- Hyper Growth instant funding is expensive per dollar of capital at $260 for a $5K account
- Payouts by Rise, crypto or bank transfer carry a 3.5% commission; only Hub credits are free, and those cannot be withdrawn
- The consistency percentage is not published per program: the firm states it varies by account type and region

Read the fine print
- †Fee is returned in stages: 10% as Hub credits after Phase 1, 20% as Hub credits after Phase 2, and 70% credited to the funded account, withdrawable with the first payout. Hub credits are not withdrawable.
- ‡One time fee. Requires 3 profitable days. Bonus Hub credits from $15 on completing a level.
- §One time fee. The 3% daily figure is a pause, not a breach: it disables the account for the rest of the day only. The 6% stop out terminates the account.

- ¶Entry fee. A further $50 is due on passing; total cost $72.

Rules
The5ers rules, explained
The rules that actually get traders breached: what they are and how this firm sets them.
| Rule | The5ers | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Drawdown type | Static | Trailing drawdown follows your equity peak and is the #1 cause of surprise breaches; static drawdown is fixed from starting balance and far more forgiving. |
| Consistency rule | Being verified | Caps how much of your total profit can come from a single day. A strict cap can delay or void payouts for traders with a few big wins. |
| News trading | Restricted | Some firms void trades placed around high-impact news releases, which is critical if you trade NFP, CPI, or rate decisions. |
| Expert advisors (EAs) | Allowed | Determines whether automated strategies and copiers are permitted, and whether an EA can get your account flagged. |
| Minimum trading days | 3 days | The floor on how fast you can pass a phase, which matters if you trade infrequently or want to pass quickly. |
| Challenge time limit | No time limit | A deadline forces you to trade whether or not your setup appears. Firms with no time limit let you sit out bad conditions. |
| Weekend / overnight holding | Allowed | Swing traders need positions to survive the Friday close. Where holding is barred, open trades are closed for you and gaps cannot be traded. |
| Copy trading | Allowed | Decides whether you can mirror one strategy across several accounts. Most firms that allow it restrict it to accounts you own yourself. |
| High-frequency trading | Not allowed | Firms police latency arbitrage and tick scalping hard, and an HFT breach is one of the most common reasons a passed account is voided. |

How the split scales
High Stakes scaling table: 80% from funding, 85% once the account reaches $175K, 90% at $250K, and 100% plus a $4,000 monthly fixed payout at $350K, rising to 100% plus $10,000 at the $500K ceiling.
We publish payout-speed distributions from dated community proofs rather than trusting advertised numbers. The5ers's tracker goes live once we have enough verified data points.
